Rare Olive is owned and operated by Guelph maker, Nicole Gagnon. Nicole makes wooden jewellery and accessories that are unique, smartly crafted, and made with hand-selected woods. There is a quality to the craftsmanship that goes into each piece. There is also ingenuity, with styles that are versatile and that can be worn multiple ways.
Nicole’s passion for wood stemmed from an admiration of her grandfather’s carpentry skills as well as from working with her husband. These combined experiences have led her toward the knowledge she now has of different wood types and woodworking techniques.
Nicole, loves connecting with her community and sharing her passion behind what she makes. She hopes to be a part of a movement providing sustainable aesthetic for people who gravitate towards good design, slow fashion, and supporting handmade.
